What led you to work in the Real Estate industry? Describe your current responsibilities:
I was attracted to the mix of engineering, finance, and marketing that the real estate industry offered.
My responsibilities include all aspects of the development process from land sourcing to capital outreach to construction management to leasing and disposition.
Who has been the biggest influence in your career?
My dad has been the biggest personal influence on my career. On the professional side, I have been lucky enough to have had a ton of great mentors throughout my career. Two that stand out are Dave Riefe and Elliot Mata.
How long have you been involved with NAIOP and what do you view as the benefits of your NAIOP Developing Leader membership?
I have been involved with NAIOP for 4 years. It has been great to meet the other Developing Leaders and be involved with the DL specific events where we get the opportunity to learn from industry veterans.
What are your future career goals?
My goals are to continue to grow the Seefried presence in Chicago and other Midwest markets.
What part of your job do you find most rewarding?
Working with high-performing architects, engineers, and consultants to figure out complicated sites in the most efficient manner possible.
What is the best piece of professional advice you have been given?
The best way to earn repeat business and grow your network is by creating raving fans. And the best way to do that is by being consistent, going above and beyond, operating with integrity, and by truly enjoying what you are doing.
Outside of work, how do you enjoy spending your time?
Spending time outside as much as possible. Walking with my wife, biking, golfing, reading, and playing tennis.
What is your favorite building in Chicago?
It will soon be a beautiful 54,000 SF building at 9500 Ainslie St. in Schiller Park. Available for lease Q12027!
